Current Projects
I am a man who does not believe in wasting time; nor am I man who believes that time is something that is infinite. I have always been frustratingly aware of my own mortality, even as a young child. Why this is, I could not begin to tell you. However, I can tell you that this is had a very serious impact on my personality and lifestyle. I never waste time, and I always go the extra length in order to help my friends and family.
As a result of this, I have involved
myself in a number of projects, spanning a large variety of topics. I
have done my best to research many things, from technology and
physics. In order to maintain a level of sense within my blog, I have
decided to keep a running list, with a brief explanation of the
projects I have developed or stepped into.
In doing this, I hope to not only help
make sense of some of the content in this blog, but also spark the interest
of those people who read this blog to try new things.
Please, try new things. It really is
worth it.
- Biorhythm Developments: I founded the organization called Biorhythm Developments to further the study of things such as religion, and bring studies like religion, physics, and metaphysics to a common table to discuss ideas. In doing this, I have also worked very hard to intermingle the ideas among the members of Biorhythm Developments. What this organization has accomplished over the years it has been operating is, to me, nothing short of incredible. Biorhythm Developments has become an informational and social hub for those people who have a "basic knowledge" of theoretical studies and want to learn more, and a place for already skilled practitioners or researchers to broaden their knowledge. I have linked a tab to the home page in this blog. If you are interested in helping a team of ordinary people do something extraordinary, get a hold of one of the administrators of Biorhythm Developments.
- Martial Arts: Although the martial arts doesn't seem like a lifetime project, it truly is, just as much as it is a way of life. I have been practicing the martial arts for over thirteen years now, and although I have had my ups and down in my training, it always will be an integral part of my life. I have practiced (for those who are familiar with the terminology) Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do, Judo, Jujitsu, and Hapkido, with a more recent development being Wing Chun. I have no black belts. I have refused to accept them in three of the above listed styles – after a long study in the martial arts, not just in combat but in its history, its ideas and its beliefs there are many things that I do and do not agree with in modern martial arts (MMA, for example, bothers me). I will, perhaps, explain this in detail in a blog post. If you are someone who needs peace of mind, or just the ability to defend yourself, there are many things you can try; I encourage you to try all of them. Find what's right for you and never close your mind to the other options that are available to you.
- Programming, Technology, and Future Speculation: I have a very firm belief that technology – more specifically digital lifestyles – will eventually change the way we interact with others in a much deeper, more integrated way than they already have. In my professional life, I am a laptop/desktop technician whom specializes in hardware configurations for business and operating systems. However, I undertake a lot of other interesting side hobbies – the most interesting of which in my opinion, is the concept of a "virtual avatar". The idea of having another life to escape to online, where you can be whoever you want to be, is an idea that is being developed further and further in the basement of the world of technology and gaming. Eventually, it will hit its stride, and when it does, social networking my begin to shift over to this new technology. I am currently involved in Eve Online, Entropia Universe, and Second Life, though my primary focus is in Entropia for now. If you're interested in learning more, I'll be blogging on each individually, and you can always go and check them out.
- Music: I am a percussionist (I prefer this over the term "drummer") and I have been since I was in high school. I toured in five countries playing with various orchestras during my time as a professional, and saw/played at many beautiful and moving places, including Normandy, The Eiffel Tower, and many others. This was truly an incredible experience for me, and has inspired me to keep music in my life. I'm currently looking to put together a band, so if anyone is interested, let me know! I would be more than happy to strike up a conversation with you.
- Techni-Sense: I am in the process of opening up a new business, called Techni-Sense. I can't reveal too much on it right now, but I can say that I believe it will revolutionize the way we manage our digital lifestyles.
- Architects of Heaven: A new sci-fi book that I'm in the process of writing. Again, I can't say too much, but I will be updating this more as I get closer to completing it.
